The activity vacation is becoming a popular group market, with an almost endless choice of ideas to motivate your members into action. As well as the traditional favorites such as walking and hiking, we take a look at what’s new for the more adventurous group. Even if your groups are not adrenaline-seekers, other activity breaks focus on more leisurely interests such as cooking and painting.

Exploring the British Countryside

Walking is one of Britain’s most popular outdoor recreations and makes an excellent group activity. Themed walking vacations are also popular choices when they have a historic, regional or geographical bias.

Cycling is another excellent way to explore the countryside. Horse Riding and Pony Trekking

For groups interested in horseback riding and pony trekking, Wales offers good opportunities to explore its wonderful scenery and coastline. Situated on the Gower Peninsula in southwest Wales, Parc Le Breos Riding and Holiday Centre is surrounded by some outstanding countryside including miles of sandy beaches, limestone cliffs, saltwater and freshwater marshes, woodland and moorland. With around thirty horses and ponies - mainly strong cobs and crossed Welsh Mountain ponies - groups can be divided according to their ability. Accommodations are available in the 19th century hunting lodge. For groups, the center offers activities including riding, water sports and heritage walks.
